This exhibition has been planned to coincide with the The Field Revisited exhibition at the NGV (27 April – August 2018).

 

Three galleries in Melbourne Five Walls Projects, Stephen McLaughlan Gallery and Langford 120 will be collaborating and holding group exhibitions in April 2018.

Abstraction Twenty Eighteen aims to exhibit work from a range of Melbourne and Sydney-based artists that is non-objective, constructivist and reductive abstract.

 

The work selected showcases broad developments and approaches in Abstract art and the work is not necessarily geometric, hard-edge or formalist but has an affinity or critique to it.

 

Overall across all sites there will be will be over 50-60 artists exhibiting.
